Our Toaster is dead.
2009-2012 He was a good toaster. He did his job day in and day out faithfully and carefully and without complaint. He made our bland bread a bit tastier. He made the most pleasant “ding sound” you ever heard when your toast was done being toasted. He passed away quietly today. He is survived by his wife the microwave. OK. Time to throw him out and go buy a new one....

David Bowie turned 65 on Sunday. I remember his 50th birthday special; I begged my parents to pay the $12.95 pay-per-view fee so I could watch it. I was 13 years old, 2 days away from being exactly 37 years his junior. My obsession with the man and his music shall never wane.
