TheNextWeb just unearthed a kooky compilation called “The Apple Boogie” that Apple released on cassette in 1987. Eight inspiring Apple-centric songs, including my personal favorite, “Apple II Forever” in which they sing “Apple II forever / Making life better and better / Apple II forever and ever / Bringing the rainbow to you.”

Golden Era Of Shoegaze - Pale Saints
In high school I was on a healthy shoegaze diet amply nourished by 4AD. Pale Saints is by far one of my favorite bands from the era. I just rediscovered their debut The Comforts Of Madness. It was a noise-loving, shoegaze-listening, creepers-wearing, self-proclaimed misunderstood high school girl’s sonic paradise. Here’s live footage of one of my favorite songs from the album...
